Born and bred in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, MC and producer, ScienZe (aka Jamal Monsanto) released his first mixtape “The DOPEness, Vol. 1” in 2009. Drawing inspiration from the DIY aesthetic found in independent films and world music; while exploring themes of love and loss and the importance of having a thirst for knowledge, Scienze has long-recognized the importance of collaboration and an open mind, when making music.
